From the office - Allan Nash Racing.
As most of us in Sprintcar racing here in Western Australia, take the time in the off season to regroup, rebuild and get ready for the next season, Allan Nash is doing the same but in a few different ways.
On the phone to the likable racer he is gearing up for the North West Tour put together by Bear from BCM for 3 nights of racing. Starting in Newman on Friday and Saturday night 30/31st May and the Sunday 1st June at Port Hedland.
I can’t wait to get up there and do some racing, our season tapered off towards the end of the season with work being so busy at that stage. We are still really busy and a lot of our work is up in the North West and it will be a good chance to catch up with some of our customers and hopefully they will all come to the races and see what Sprintcar Racing is all about.
This coming season will see Allan Nash Racing change chassis brands from a Maxim Chassis to a J+J Chassis. The change is something we have put a great deal of thought into and after the racing we did on the East coast during World Series, and the domination J+J have done all around the World we believe they are the Hot Ticket at this point in time. J+J are probably the nicest finished off race cars I have ever seen and this goes all the way back to when I was working on them in the states back in 89.
ANR has also purchased another 410 from the states to power along the J+J Chassis and will use Vortex Wings and AFCO Shocks to get all the Power to the ground. We will still be racing the Maxim at this stage and will hopefully do some racing in Darwin later in the year. After all that is run and won we will return to Perth and start all over again in the New Cars.
ANR recently purchased a purpose Built 45’ Long race trailer from QLD racer Darryl Hodges to not only make the day to day racing easier but also offer his Sponsors even more Exposure as the team travels around Australia.
Keep up with all the news and views on what is going on with The Likable West Coast Racer during the off season. For all the race fans in the North West come by the Racecar to say G’day to Allan and The Crew. Grab a Poster & Some stickers and have a look at these Things with Wings |
